MCB Wealthbridge Welcomes Nicole Monlon as VP of West Coast Sales

MCB Wealthbridge, a division of MCB Real Estate dedicated to delivering high-quality, tax-efficient real estate investment opportunities through Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) 1031 exchange offerings and other tax advantaged income and growth offerings, announced today the appointment of Nicole Monlon as Vice President, West Coast Sales for MCB Wealthbridge. This strategic hire aims to accelerate the firm’s fundraising and advisor engagement across the western United States.

The DST market is experiencing unprecedented momentum. Following the $8.4 billion in equity raised in 2025, the second-highest amount on record, 2026 is expected to reach up to $10 billion. To capitalize on this, MCB Wealthbridge is expanding its footprint in Southern California. The region features a significant concentration of broker dealers, registered investment advisors, and wealth management channels. Establishing a senior sales presence, particularly in Orange County, allows the firm to solidify relationships, expand reach, and provide more direct support to advisors.

With over 15 years working in the DST sector, Monlon has a demonstrated track record of raising capital, and brings a client first mindset. Her proficiency in alternative real estate investments in Southern California makes her exceptionally suited to expand MCB Wealthbridge’s West Coast presence. She understands that long term success relies on trusted partnerships, transparency, and advisor education, which are attributes that define the firm.

“Southern California provides a multitude of opportunities for our DST platform, and Nicole brings the exact market relationships we need,” says Mike Waddell, CEO of MCB Wealthbridge. “Her extensive background in alternative real estate and commitment to advisor education will accelerate our West Coast expansion. She shares our client-first culture, and her leadership will help us capture the growth across the region while delivering institutional real estate solutions to advisors and their investors.”

With the great wealth transfer expected to distribute trillions of dollars in assets, including commercial real estate holdings, to the next generation, DSTs offer a unique path to passive real estate ownership and tax deferral and bridge the wealth gap to successors.

“The continued evolution of the DST market reflects the important role these offerings can play for investors seeking tax-deferred 1031 exchange solutions, access to institutional-quality real estate, and a more passive approach to property ownership,” says Margo Steahly, SVP National Sales of MCB Wealthbridge. “Nicole joins an already robust team of DST veterans, and her leadership will be vital as we tap into a strategic market and introduce MCB Wealthbridge to new advisors.”

MCB Wealthbridge operates a vertically integrated platform combining acquisitions, development, leasing, property management, and asset management. Monlon says that knowledge and oversight of every phase of a property is a significant advantage when sharing MCB’s offerings and a key reason she chose to join the team.

“Connecting the story of each asset to a specific market is powerful when speaking with advisors,” says Monlon. “Strong industry relationships play a major role in sourcing deals, but evaluating the right assets for the right reasons sets this firm apart. DSTs provide a tax efficient solution to build wealth, and I look forward to sharing how our institutional platform and client support deliver value across every cycle.”

She previously served as Vice President, Relationship Manager for Alternatives at DWS Asset Management. She has also held senior sales roles with W. P. Carey, Black Creek Capital Markets, and CNL Securities. Her broad background across national asset managers and specialized alternative investment firms provides her with an extensive understanding of the distribution ecosystem. She has expertise in guiding financial professionals through complex capital stack execution, infrastructure investments, and risk adjusted returns.

Monlon holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
